The Call for Proposals for the fourth annual New Brunswick Innovation Forum 2011: Atlantic Canada’s Fast Track to IT Opportunities is now open!
The matchmaking event will give up to 32 Atlantic Canadian companies, organizations, researchers, academics, and entrepreneurs the opportunity to offer their most innovative ideas and business opportunities to an international audience of motivated receptors who are there specifically looking for new market opportunities, collaboration partners, IT solutions to support their business procedures, or clients for funding (VCs, etc).
Whether you want to develop technologies, collaborate, commercialize, attract investment, or simply promote your products and services, the New Brunswick Innovation Forum 2011 is designed to be your innovation matchmaker by connecting you to the people you need to meet.
What's the focus?
The New Brunswick Innovation Forum 2011 offers a venue for innovative companies, investors, scientists and researchers to find each other so that more Atlantic Canadian innovations can reach the marketplace.
All ICT related innovations and opportunities will be eligible for submission through the Call for Proposals. A selection committee will review the submissions and choose 8 panelists in each of the following streams:
- Technology Transfer (Company)
- Funding
- University and Federal Lab Technologies for Transfer
- International Opportunities – this category is reserved for International researchers and companies that are offering business opportunities to Canadian companies.
How does it work?
There will be two presentation sessions taking place at any one time. Each session will consist of eight panelists, each of whom will be given 10 minutes and 10 PowerPoint slides to make their presentation. The audience will consist of funding agencies, scientists and research organizations and company decision makers who will be there specifically to hear your presentation. Presenters may be looking for a wide range of opportunities including funding, collaboration and/or technology transfer.
Networking Opportunities: Networking is at the heart of this event. Each series of presentations will be followed by a 30-minute "Meet the Panelists" networking session. Panelist will have clearly marked stations in the event Network Centre where interested audience members connect with them directly.
Those who have registered to attend the event will have the opportunity to establish meetings with panelists and key stakeholders prior to the event using the Make a Meeting function on the website. Panelists can also use this function to request meetings with other panelist and key stakeholders in the ICT industry.
